"You are right, sir, I have no business here.

But if you will tell him that I only came back for the child's sake, he will hear me.

I couldn't leave it in the workhouse, you know." Miss Thornton ran forward, laughing wildly, and hugged her to her honest heart.

"My darling!" she said, "My own darling! I knew she would find her home at last.

In trouble and in sorrow I told her where she was to come.
