He is very cruel." "He does not know any better," I said.

"Come with me and get some flowers." "Will you take me up ?" he said; "I musn't run about for fear of snakes." I took him up, and we went to gather flowers.
"Your name is Samuel Buckley, I think," said I.
"How did you know that ?" "I remember you when you were a baby," I said.

"I hope you may grow to be as good a man as your father, my lad.
