All that I have to request in return for the good offices I have done you is that you never fail writing me by all possible opportunities during your voyage; and that in your letters you will be very particular and circumstantial in regard to every thing and place you may chance to see or visit, with your own observations thereon.

Do this, my young friend, and you may rest assured that my good offices will not be wanting some future day for your advancement.
