Myself is Kenelm Chillingly, son and heir to a rich gentleman.

But a fellow with a knapsack on his back, sleeping at wayside inns, is not at all like Kenelm Chillingly; especially if he is very short of money and may come to want a dinner.

Perhaps that sort of fellow may take a livelier view of things: he can't take a duller one.
