She was still hard at work when the girls began to come in for luncheon, one after another, and at last she heard Emma's delightful drawl as she exchanged pleasantries with one of the freshmen who had opened the door for her. "Oh, Emma," she called, stepping to the door of her office, "will you come in here, please? I need you." By the time Grace had finished speaking Emma was standing in the doorway, peering owlishly at her.
