22/237

Set watch to-night, two hours each.
May 1st.
Followed up river, keeping a little to the south of it for about fifteen miles.

Barometer 29.10; thermometer 78 degrees at 5.30 p.m.; latitude 26 degrees 0 minutes 52 seconds South.
