I have scarcely got over the _tire_ of the congress [Footnote: The annual meeting of the Association for the Advancement of Women, of which Miss Mitchell was president.

It was held at Syracuse, N.Y., in 1875.] yet, although it is a week since I returned.

I feel as if a great burden was lifted from my soul.
