In John vi.

51 the reading of Tertullian and the Sinaitic Codex is defended by Tischendorf; the approximate reading of B, C, D, &c.

is admitted by Lachmann, Tregelles, Milligan, Westcott and Hort, and the received text has an apologist in Mr.M'Clellan (with Tholuck and Wordsworth).
