I am sure you like me.' 'Certainly, I like you.' 'And you know that I love you.' 'I did not know it.' 'Yes, you did.

You are not the man to be diffident of yourself in such a matter.

You must either think that I love you, or that I have been a great hypocrite in pretending to do so.
