He was intensely anxious himself, but he knew that the strain of waiting upon Robert, with his youthful and imaginative mind, was greater.

He was bound to be suffering cruelly.
"We must give them time," he said.

"Remember that Grosvenor is not used to the woods, and can't go through them as fast as we can.

We must have confidence too.
