The passengers poured out like bees.

We put our hands and shoulders on the train and pushed it backwards about a third of a mile to a passing station.

There the engine got out of our way and after an hour's wait a horse was hitched to the train.

With the help of the men he started it.

At the next town our horse was reinforced by two others.
