Much about the same time I set out my Latin Poem, _Ecclesiae Gemitus_ ('Groans of the Church'), with, a long Epistle to all Christians in the defence of the King and the Church of England; and, two years after [1652], _Clamor Regii Sanguinis ad Coelum_.

God blessed these books, and gave them the intended effect, the disabusing of many misinformed persons.

Here, then, in Dr.Peter Du Moulin's own hand, though not till after the Restoration, we have the _Regii Sanguinis Clamor_ claimed as his, with the information that it was one of a series of books written by him with the special design of maintaining the cause of Charles II.
