'My dear Althea, I know.

I do so heartily congratulate you and Gerald,' she said.
'He told you, dear Helen ?' 'Yes, he told me, but of course I saw.' 'I feel now as if you were my sister,' said Althea, tightening her arms.
'We will always be very near each other, Helen.

It is so beautiful to think that you brought us together, isn't it ?' Helen was forced to put the distasteful cup to her lips.

'Yes indeed,' she said.
'He is so dear, so wonderful,' said Althea.
